Here, i don’t just talk about wine—i pair it with Kenya’s most bizarre, forgotten, or underrated creatures. Think of it like food and wine pairing, but instead of nyama choma, we’re serving up a wild dog. (Metaphorically, of course).
Today’s pairing? Sparkling Wine & the African Wild Dog—because nothing else quite captures their shared chaotic, explosive, and unstoppable energy.

I never thought my two random passions—wildlife and wine—would ever mix. But here we are. Instead of obsessing over lions and cabernet sauvignon like everyone else, I’m here for the oddballs.
The creatures no one talks about. The wines people underestimate.
Wine is already confusing enough with all the jargon (tannins? terroir? liqueur de tirage??). So let’s keep this simple, fun, and Kenyan. No pretentious nonsense—just good wine, weird animals, and curiosity.
Every week, I’ll take a bottle of wine, pair it with a creature that embodies its essence, and throw in some food pairings (hopefully without embarrassing myself). This is about exploring the unexpected, sipping on adventure, and learning as we go.
